Recent policy changes at AORN, Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid are driving record sales for Riley Medical’s FlashPak product line. The current criteria require hospitals to flash sterilize in closed containers validated for flash. Such containers should be readily differentiated from containers intended for terminal sterilization.

FlashPak is a hospital proven mobile sterile field that protects flash sterilized instruments from re-contamination while being transported through non-sterile areas en route to the OR. Its patented valves automatically open and close during flash sterilization and unlike competitive products requires no operator action to close the system for transport. In addition, its unique look is easily differentiated from the rigid filtered containers typically used in sterile processing departments.
